Online Policies

for Classes, Group Classes and Specialized Services:
Please review the following policies for all online classes, group classes, and/or specialised services with CasaTalk. 

When you purchase one on one (1:1) classes, small group classes, and/or specialised services from CasaTalk, you agree to the following policies and procedures.

Purchasing Classes

All lessons are to be paid in full in advance i.e. you cannot book a 25 minute class if you have only paid for 15 minutes. Please note these expire if not used within a 6 month period.

Classes, group classes, and/or specialised services can be purchased directly
at Invoices may also be emailed directly upon request. 

All payments are via PayPal or Stripe only. You may use a bank account or a credit/debit card to make these payments. CasaTalk cannot accept cheques or bank transfers.

Please note that your payment authorizes only one person to access and participate in the class.  Sharing class content with others or publishing it is strictly prohibited. 

Should you share your class access with another person, your access to the class and all its material may be immediately revoked for violating these policies and your payment will not be refunded as this will be in lieu of class material.

It is the client’s responsibility to provide accurate contact details to ensure communication with your teacher and the CasaTalk team. 
Class updates and important information are sent via email.

When you choose to purchase from and learn with CasaTalk, it means you accept our Terms of Use and Disclaimer.

All classes are scheduled via our website. 
It is the client’s responsibility to make sure the selected time zone is correct for accurate
class times. 
When you schedule your class, you will receive a confirmation via email.

One-to-One Classes and/or specialised services:
If you cancel or ask to reschedule within at least 24 hours notice, you will receive credit for a future session.

If you cancel or ask to reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, you will NOT receive a refund and the class will NOT be rescheduled, as the teacher has taken time away from another class to be there for yours. 

If you do not show up for your scheduled session, you will NOT receive a refund.

Small Group Classes:
These are specialised group classes of 2-6 people. If you need to cancel or reschedule a
small group class, it is the responsibility of the client to cancel or reschedule as soon as
possible. Failure to do so may result in missing the class and no refunds will be given. 
Groups classes with fewer than 3 clients may be cancelled by the Teacher. The Teacher
will notify clients by email if this should happen and this can be re-scheduled at a later

Lessons start on time. CasaTalk cannot refund or make-up lost time due to client’s late arrival or technical difficulties.


If you are late for a class, the teacher will wait and keep the class open for 5 minutes if it is a 15 minute class and 10 minutes if it is a 25 minute class. After the 5 or 10 minutes allowance, the teacher will close the class. Please note late arrivals cannot be refunded as this is the time the Teacher has taken to be there for you, extreme circumstances may be considered and this will be at the discretion of the teacher whether they can reschedule the class for you.

Small Groups:

While it is rare with a small group, if no clients arrive within the first 5-10 minutes and the Teacher does not receive any notifications about late arrivals, your Teacher may close the class. This class will not be rescheduled and will not be refunded.

Specialized Services:

This falls under the same rules as the one-on-one classes, so please bear this in mind when booking it.

CasaTalk does not issue refunds for classes that have already been completed.

CasaTalk will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis if you have missed a class for a legitimate reason and this will be at the discretion of the teacher. Clients may request an extension on their minutes for classes as they expire if not used within six months.

In the event that your Teacher with CasaTalk cannot meet at the scheduled time, 24 hours notice will be given, unless unable to do so, another teacher will be provided for your class unless you want to stick with the same teacher, then both parties will try to reschedule the earliest time, which is mutually convenient for both client and the Teacher. If no reschedule is agreed upon, fees paid are usable for future lessons.

Staff at CasaTalk are internationally based. The company is based in Portugal and only observes major holiday. 

We will remind you of these holidays when they are approaching. 

If your teacher is taking vacation time, we will let you know at least one week in advance.

Your Teacher may record your class and share a private link with you. These recorded classes are not be shared with anyone else. No other recording of the lesson may be done, by either party.

If you ask your teacher to do editing or review materials outside of your class time, your teacher may do so but this is considered class time and must be paid.

For example:

You’ve purchased 2 classes from CasaTalk.

Plus you need help on a presentation, essay, business letter, website, or any other document, so you ask your teacher to do this before the next class.

This means:

For example: 25 minutes of in-class teaching
+ 1 x 25 minutes of editing time outside of class

= A total of 50 minutes ( 2 x classes) unless the teacher will need extra time, this is to be discussed and agreed with both parties before the task begins and needs to be paid upfront.
